Martha is a Registered Dental Hygienist, Researcher, Myofunctional Therapist, Dental Hygiene Educator and holds a degree in Medical Laboratory as well as in Health Education. She received her degree in Dental Hygiene from Farmingdale State University and specialized in Myofunctional Therapy through the Academy of Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (AOMT). Martha’s extensive knowledge has led her to teach at New York University College of Dentistry and for the Academy of Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy, where she’s taught about myofunctional therapy. Martha is also currently faculty at Greenville Technical College, where she teaches dental hygiene and about myofunctional disorders.
Martha’s training is extensive as she lectures internationally about myofunctional disorders. She has also contributed towards bridging the gap between the medical and dental professions through her courses and published work. Her most recent publications include an Amazon E-book titled “Stop Snoring and Improve Your Sleep Apnea“, and a chapter in a sleep medicine textbook titled “Sleep Disorders in Pediatric Dentistry, Clinical Guide On Diagnosis and Management“, in which she collaborated alongside the world leader in Myofunctional Therapy, Joy Moeller.
Martha is extremely involved in the profession acting as a past editor to the Long Island Dental Hygiene Association, past delegate to the Dental Hygienist Association of the State of New York, and delegate to the American Dental Hygiene Association. She is also a founding member and sits on the board of The Academy of Applied Myofunctional Sciences, as well as a member of the International Functional Association.
Martha holds a passion for continuous research and educational development. It is this passion for education that has also driven Martha to offer more of her expertise to a wider audience with her online presence. Her mission is to help provide lifelong learning by educating individuals worldwide in order to help promote oral health awareness through a variety of different courses and published work.
